What is Self-Regulation? 

Self-regulation involves recognizing one's brain and body responses to everyday stressors and implementing personalized strategies to regain a sense of calm (Slater, 2021). The ability to manage one's emotions and behaviors.

  • Create a calm classroom environment

  • Create a sense of belonging by using digital/visual/tactile greeting check-ins 
  • Incorporate peer collaboration opportunities
